Scorbut

Art school assignment – The assignment was, making a leader and several bumpers for a new program on the school’s tv channel. The program was called ‘Scheurbuik’ (means scorbut), my idea for it was; to make the visual aspects as plain and transparent as possible. Without loosing the connection with the scorbut phenomenon.

I was very limited by time during this assignment. Therefore I had to came up with a quick to make solution. The whole thing is just existing out-of hand-animation. At night I made a setup of glass plates with wax and foam board in my parents garden. With the two giant daylight lamps behind the setup I started spraying milk and water. A good result came out-of it, without the hassle of rendering and hours of compositing.

Art school assignment – In pairs we had to make an experimental movie. With the only condition of being a journey. Together with Maarten Slok I came up with this movie. Its made pure out of experimenting with the camera and then edited to an experience of time.

Adapter

Art school assignment – For this assignment our class was split-up in two groups. Each group had to make a television program for the RVU. Our group came up with the idea of a program called adapter. My parts was in making the identity; intro, bumpers, ending. This I did in collaboration with Maarten Slok and Miranda Stet.

Everything went extremely well during the process of making it. All the effects are hand-animated on an old tv. Therefore we didn’t have to use all kinds of computer interference other than for the montage.
